UPSC NDA Exam Date 2026 Out, Check NDA 1 & NDA 2 Exam Schedule

The Union Public Service Commission is responsible for conducting the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination for admission of candidates in the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC). The UPSC has announced the UPSC NDA Exam Date 2026 for both the NDA 1 and NDA 2 exams, along with the official UPSC Exam Calendar.

UPSC NDA Exam Date 2026 Out

The NDA 1 Exam has been scheduled for 12th April 2026, and the NDA 2 Exam has been scheduled for 13th September 2026. The 12th pass aspirants who are planning to appear for the exam should mark these dates on their calendar to prepare accordingly. The number of vacancies will be released along with the notification. The candidates who are willing to join the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force should apply and start their preparations in advance.

NDA 1 Exam Date 2026

Along with the NDA Exam Date 2026, the Union Public Service Commission has also released the Notification release date and Registration dates for NDA 1. The UPSC NDA Exam is a national-level exam conducted twice a year, and the selection process includes a written exam and an SSB Interview. The NDA 1 Exam will be conducted on 12th April 2026. The written Exam is divided into two parts, i.e., Mathematics and General Ability Test, and the SSB Interview Assesses candidates’ personality, leadership qualities, and suitability for military service.

NDA 2 Exam Date 2026

The Union Public Service Commission has also announced the UPSC NDA 2 Exam Date 2026 along with their Official UPSC Calendar. The Commission has also announced the Notification release date and the registration dates for the NDA 2 Exam that is scheduled to be held on 13th September 2026. As the exam date has been announced, the candidates have plenty of time to prepare well and work toward their selection for admission in the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy.

UPSC NDA Exam Pattern 2026

The NDA exam in 2026 (NDA & NA Examination 2026) will consist of a written exam with two papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT), followed by an SSB interview. The written exam is worth 900 marks, and the SSB interview is also worth 900 marks, totaling 1800 marks for the final selection.

Written Exam: 

• Mode of Exam: Offline
• Mathematics: 120 questions, 300 marks.
• General Aptitude Test (GAT): 150 questions, 600 marks.
• Total Marks: 900.
• Negative Marking: There is negative marking for incorrect answers in both papers.
• Exam Duration: Each paper is 2.5 hours long.

SSB Interview:

• Two Stages: Stage 1 involves Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) and Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT). Stage 2 involves Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference.
