A total of 6.26 lakh candidates applied for the examination, and lakhs of candidates appeared for the exam, which was conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets. Candidates must know how many marks they will get for a correct answer and how much they will lose for an incorrect attempt which helps them to calculate the expected score and plan their preparation for the exam.

Paper I (General Studies):
Let us suppose candidates attempted 110 questions, out of which 90 are correct and 20 are incorrect
Score = (90 × 1.33) − (20 × 0.33)
= 119.7 − 6.6
= 113.1 marks
Paper II (CSAT):
If a candidate attempts 55 questions, from which 40 are correct and 15 are incorrect.
Score = (40 × 2) − (15 × 0.66)
= 80 − 9.9
= 70.1 marks (Qualified more than 66)
