Students Facing Problems During SSC CGL 2025 Registration

There are some common problems that many candidates are facing, like they are not being able to update the OTR (One Time Registration). Over a period of time, many changes occur in the personal profile that require to be updated in SSC OTR

  • Mobile numbers and email IDs change over time.
  • Candidates may move to new places, so their address requires update
  • Category changes can happen:
  1. OBC candidates may move into the Creamy Layer.
  2. EWS candidates’ certificates may not be applicable due to increased income.

Some candidates face technical problems with biometric face authentication and linking of the Aadhar card, which causes problems in completing the application process.

What Should Candidates Do If They Face These Problems?

If candidates face problems during the SSC CGL application or in the one-time registration process, they must contact the Staff Selection Commission by sending an email to helpdesk-ssc@ssc.nic.in or calling the toll-free number 18003093063 for support. Candidates can also raise a complaint on the PG Portal, pgportal.gov.in by logging in, clicking on “Lodge Public Grievance”, selecting “Staff Selection Commission” as the department, and describing the problem in detail.

Candidates can also participate in a Twitter campaign on 12th June using the hashtag #SSC_allow_OTR_edit to raise awareness. The main demands include allowing changes in OTR, fixing technical problems quickly, and giving age relaxation to affected students.
