SSC JHT Exam Date 2025 Out

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the annual calendar regarding the exam date for Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2025 (Paper 1). SSC JHT Exam 2025 for Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator posts will be held on 12th August 2025. SSC JHT Vacancy 2025

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will announce the number of vacancies Group B Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the Government of India. The SSC JHT 2025 apply online link will be activated on the official website www.ssc.gov.in on 5th June 2025. The eligible candidates can apply for the SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT), Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator Post either from the official website or by the direct link provided below. Steps to Apply for SSC JHT 2025

The candidates willing to apply for SSC JHT 2025 Exam must submit their duly filled application forms at www.ssc.gov.in. Follow the below steps to know the complete registration process. 

  1. Visit the SSC official website i.e. ‘www.ssc.gov.in’.
  2. SSC Homepage appears on the screen, then click on the ‘Apply’ option.
  3. Search for the link- ‘Junior Translator Examination’. Click on the link.
  4. You get a ‘Login to Apply for the Examination’ prompt. Click on ‘OK’.
  5. You are redirected back to the SSC homepage, where you find the Login section. If you are a new user or haven’t registered your account, then click on ‘Register Now’ and enter all your details on the next page to generate your registration number and password, else login with your pre-registered details.
  6. Now, fill out the Application/Registration form very carefully. All the details filled in should be correct.
  7.  Then attach the required scanned documents and finally review the detailed filled-in application form.
  8. After reviewing the Application form, pay the required application fee fees using the online payment gateway. Finally, download the application form and take out a printout for future reference.

SSC JHT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The aspiring candidates have to fulfill the below eligibility criteria for the post of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator as mentioned in SSC JHT Notification 2025. 

SSC JHT Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either:
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iv) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

SSC JHT Educational Qualifications

The minimum Educational Qualification for SSC JHT 2025 Exam is a Master’s degree in relevant subjects. Check the post-wise required Eligibility in terms of education qualification from the below table.

Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level and recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

Senior Hindi Translator Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English/ English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

OR

Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English/ with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;

OR

Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.

AND

Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including the Government of India Undertaking.

SSC JHT Age Limit

The age limit of the eligible candidates must be 18 years to 30 years, i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2007. However, the government provides some Age Relaxation in every exam. The below guidelines are the Age Relaxation for the SSC JHT 2025 Exam.

SSC JHT 2025 Selection Process

The commission will select the eligible candidates based on their performance in the following four stages. To get shortlisted for Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translator the candidates need to qualify in each stage.

SSC JHT 2025 Exam Pattern

  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
