SSC GD Medical Date 2025, 1.2 Lakh Candidates to Appear for DME

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC GD Physical Result 2025, announcing the roll number of the candidates shortlisted to appear for Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Document Verification (DV). It is expected that the SSC GD Medical and DV process will be conducted by end of October 2025. The official SSC GD Medical schedule will be released soon at the official website www.ssc.gov.in.

SSC GD Medical Date 2025

A total of 52.69 lakh have applied for the SSC GD 2025 exam, out of which a total of 126736 candidates are now shortlisted to appear for Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Document Verification (DV), which is the final selection stage before the final appointment. Through the exam, a total of 53690 vacancies will be recruited for Constable (GD) posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau.

  • Detailed Medical Examination (DME): It is mandatory for all candidates qualified in CBT. Physical exam to participate in the Medical exam. It is conducted to assess whether candidates are medically fit to perform the duties required in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the SSF, the NIA, and the Assam Rifles.
  • Document Verification (DV) – Only those candidates who are declared “FIT” in the DME are called for DV. CAPF will conduct the Document Verification to verify the original documents of the candidates submitted by the candidates in the online application form.

SSC GD Detailed Medical Exam 2025

During the Detailed Medical Examination (DME), candidates undergo a thorough health check-up conducted by the Medical Board of the respective Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The following checks are performed during this examination:

  1. Vision Test (Eyesight)
    Distant vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other without correction (glasses not allowed).
    Near vision: N6 in one eye and N9 in the other.
    Candidates with squint, color blindness, or night blindness are declared unfit.
  2. Hearing Test
    The candidate should be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters in each ear separately.
    Any ear disease, discharge, or hearing defect can lead to disqualification.
  3. Dental Health
    A minimum of 14 dental points is required.
    Healthy gums and a proper set of teeth are essential.
  4. Physical Measurements
    Height, chest (for males), and weight are checked again.
    Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
  5. Overall Health Check
    Examination of heart, lungs, abdomen, liver, and spleen.
    Check for hernia, hydrocele, piles, varicose veins, and other internal conditions.
    No chronic disease or physical deformity should be present.
    The skin should be free from contagious diseases, tattoos, or marks that may interfere with duty.
  6. Blood and Urine Tests
    To detect any chronic illness or infection.
    Ensures normal blood sugar, hemoglobin, and other essential levels.
  7. Other Examinations
    Examination of joints, bones, limbs, and muscles for deformities or disabilities.
    The candidate should not have flat feet or knock knees.

SSC GD Documents Verification

Candidates must bring original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies of each original certificate for verification. Names, dates, and details on all certificates must match exactly with those on the SSC records. The list of required documents is as follows:

  1. Matriculation/10th Class Certificate -Proof of date of birth and educational qualification.
  2. Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
  3. For SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.
  4. Domicile/Residence Certificate (if required)
  5. Proof of state domicile for candidates claiming reservation or preference.
  6. Photo Identity Proof – Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License (any valid photo ID).
  7. Educational Certificates – Class 10th (mandatory) and higher qualification certificates, if mentioned.
  8. NCC Certificate (if applicable) – For candidates claiming NCC bonus marks.
  9. Ex-Serviceman Certificate / Discharge Certificate (if applicable).
  10. No Objection Certificate (NOC) – For candidates working in a government organization.
  11. Medical Fitness Certificate (DME Result) – Issued by the CAPF Medical Board confirming that the candidate is “FIT.”
  12. Passport-size Photographs
  13. Recent color photos as per SSC specifications.

SSC GD 2025 Training Schedule

As per the CISF Training Calendar 2025, the SSC GD training will commence from 12th January 2026 onwards. Candidates finally selected for Constable (GD) posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau will have to undergo the SSC GD Training as per schedule.
