Odisha State Selection Board (SSB) has released a press release on 4th August 2025 proposing 1823 vacancies for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) posts for various subjects to be filled this year. The subjects for which vacant seats are announced are Arts, PCM, CBZ, Hindi, Sanskrit, PET, and Urdu. Candidates who hold the required education qualification for these subjects, this is a good opportunity for them to be a part of Government Aided schools in Odisha. SSB Odisha TGT Recruitment 2025- Overview
Out of the total 1823 vacancies proposed, 170 vacancies are for Minority Managed Fully Aided High Schools. which are to be filled through the schools’ own recruitment process, while 1652 vacancies will be recruited by the State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha.

SSB Odisha TGT Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
- A candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognised University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
- Provided that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, SEBC & PwD shall possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognised University / Institution with at least 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
- Must have passed the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) in the concerned category and concerned subject conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
