The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has initiated the refund process for examination fees paid by candidates who appeared for various exams conducted during the 2024-25 recruitment cycle, including the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC), Group D, and Technician exams. This move aims to provide financial relief to candidates and ensure transparency in the recruitment process. Below is a detailed overview of the refund process, eligibility criteria, and steps to claim the refund.
RRB Refund Process for 2024-25 Exams Starts
The RRB conducts large-scale recruitment drives annually to fill vacancies in Indian Railways, attracting millions of applicants. To make the application process accessible, the RRB introduced a fee refund policy for candidates who appear for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). This policy ensures that candidates, especially those from economically weaker sections, are not discouraged from applying due to financial constraints. For the 2024-25 exams, the refund process has been streamlined to address issues like incorrect bank details and unprocessed refunds from previous cycles.
Who is eligible for the RRB Fee Refund?
Not all applicants are eligible for a refund. The following conditions must be met to qualify for the RRB fee refund for 2024-25 exams:
- Candidates must have appeared in the first stage of the Computer-Based Test (CBT-1). Those who applied but did not attend the exam are not eligible.
- Candidates must have paid the application fee during the application process.
- Valid and active bank account details must be provided on the official RRB portal for the refund to be processed.
Note- Candidates with incomplete applications, rejected applications, or incorrect bank details are not eligible for refunds.
