The RRB Group D exam, originally scheduled to begin on 17th November 2025 and run till the end of December, but a stay was stayed by the Delhi High Court following a contempt petition (CONT.CAS(C) – 1415/2025). The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) took up the matter and directed the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) not to proceed until a final verdict is passed.

The Central Administrative Tribunal is expected to deliver a verdict on the ongoing court case on 30th October 2025, which will determine the confirmation of new exam dates for more than 32438 railway vacancies across India. Over 10.8 million candidates are worried about whether the exam is not cancelled or just postponed. Candidates must note that the exam is not cancelled and the exam will be held soon. If the court gives the new date, then the exam date will be further postponed else will be held on the pre-decided dates.
