A total of 1614 vacancies have been announced for the position of the home guard in Rural and Urban Blocks. In the Rural block, 1276 vacancies are reserved for both male and female candidates in 18 rural areas in Ranchi. Jharkhand Home Guard Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the Jharkhand home guard at rural and urban blocks consists of many stages.

• The first stage of the selection process is the Physical Standard test, which includes a 1 km run, long jump, high jump, and shot put.
• The second stage of the selection process is the Hindi Writing Test for 100 marks.
• The third stage of the selection process is a technical skills test will be conducted only for Urban technical skilled Home Guard candidates.
• The final merit list will be prepared after qualifying both the physical standard test, the Hindi writing test and the urban technical skill test.

Jharkhand Home Guard Physical Standard Test 2025

The Physical Standard Test criteria for urban and rural blocks will be the same. For male candidates, the height and chest criteria will be different, along with their respective categories. For female candidates, the height will be the same for all categories.
