After the completion of the application process for GDS Recruitment 2025, now the next step is the release of India Post GDS Merit List 2025. India Post will release the roll number of candidates shortlisted to appear for document verification through the GDS Merit List 2025 which is expected by the end of March 2025. The candidates who have applied for 21413 vacancies will be able to download the result and merit list pdf from the official website of India Post at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. The India Post GDS Result 2025 1st merit list will be released separately for all 23 circles and once released, the links will also be shared in the article.
GDS Merit List 2025
The registration forms were accepted from 10th February to 3rd March 2025 and lakhs of 10th pass candidates have applied for GDS Online Engagement Schedule-1, January 2025. Through this recruitment, 21413 GDS posts [i.e. Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevaks] will be recruited. The selection of the candidates will be done based on the prepared merit list of marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination or 10th standard. The shortlisted candidates than have to appear for Document verification for which dates will also be announced with GDS Merit List 2025.
How to Check India Post GDS Merit List 2025?
GDS Result 2025 pdf download links will be activated circle-wise at the official portal https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/.
- Visit the official website of India Post GDS Online at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/.
- On left side of the homepage in the Candidate’s Corner, search for “List of Shortlisted Candidates”.
- Select the circle you have applied for.
- Download GDS Result & Merit List PDF for your circle.
- Search for your roll number with the Ctrl+F shortcut in the list of shortlisted candidates.
- If your roll number appears in the list, you are eligible to appear for a document verification round for which further details will be uploaded lately.

The circle-wise GDS Merit List will be released in pdf format announcing the names of the candidates shortlisted for the document verification round. GDS Result 2025 Selection Process
The applicants will be shortlisted for engagement based on a system-generated merit list. The Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks (as explained in sub paras- iii to ix below) in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. Passing all the subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory.
For applicants where the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet have marks or marks and Grade/Points both, only their total marks will be worked out by taking into account the marks obtained in all compulsory and elective/optional subjects (other than extra subjects, if any). This will ensure that applicants with higher marks get selected.
For applicants having only grades subject-wise, marks will be arrived for each subject (compulsory and elective subjects but not extra subjects by applying the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following manner.
