The Gujarat High Court released the notification for candidates who hold a law degree and practice law in civil or criminal courts on its official website, https://gujarathighcourt.nic.in/. The recruitment drive will be conducted to recruit candidates for 212 vacancies for Civil Judges in the state judiciary. Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2025

In this examination, candidates have to go through a three-stage process, Prelims which also includes a Gujarati language proficiency test followed by mains and Viva Voice. After the final selection, candidates will be required to sign a bond for Rs.5 lakh, committing to serve for at least three years after the training. The Gujarat High Court recruitment application online form will begin on 1st February 2025 at 12:00 noon and will end on 1st March 2025 at 11:59 pm. Steps to Apply Online for Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2025

Candidates have to follow these simple steps to apply for the Gujarat High Court Recruitment. They must have a registered mobile number that remains active throughout the recruitment process to receive SMS alerts about the tests.

• Fill out all required fields carefully, save the application, and note down the application number.
• Upload a recent scanned photograph (10kb) and signature (10kb) in the required size and format.
• After confirmation, you will receive a confirmation number through SMS.
• Pay the required fee by selecting either online payment or offline cash (SBI challan). If paying offline, take the challan to an SBI branch and pay before the deadline.
• Only after confirming the application and completing the payment, the application will be fully registered.

Educational Qualifications

The following educational qualification must be possess by the candidates to apply for the Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Recruitment 2025. If you do not meet these qualifications you will be debarred by the examination board

1. Have a Law degree from a recognized university in India,
   Pass the Gujarati language proficiency test or they studied Gujarati in Secondary or Higher Secondary.
   Candidates practicing advocate in civil or criminal courts by the application deadline.
   Candidates who graduated in law from 2009-2010 onwards must have passed the All India Bar Exam (AIBE).
   Candidates waiting for AIBE results can apply but must pass it before the document verification stage.
   Alternatively, candidates can work in certain Gujarat court-related departments.
2. Have a certificate with a basic knowledge of computer applications.

Age Limit

Gujarat High Court has set the age criteria for the candidates enrolling in this examination. For General category candidates, the maximum age limit is 35 years, and for other categories, the maximum age limit is decided as 38. The age relaxation details are provided in the table below.

Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The Gujarat High Court Preliminary examination and Gujarat language test is a screening test the final Selection List will be created based on the total marks the candidate obtained in both the Main Written Examination and the Viva-voce (interview) Test.

1. Mains Written Examination which is of 200 marks
2. Interview which is of 50 marks

Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Exam Pattern 2025

Prelims: The Preliminary Examination will consist of 100 marks which is to be completed in 2 hours and 0.33 marks will be deducted for incorrect attempt. The Prelims syllabus covers various laws such as the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, and more. Also, candidates have to pass a Gujarati Language Test.

Mains: To qualify for the Main Written Examination, candidates must secure 50% marks in the preliminary exam and 45% for reserved categories and pass the Gujarati test. The Main written Examination will have two papers on Criminal and Civil laws, each has 100 marks and candidates have to complete them in 3 hours each

Interview: The last and final stage is the Viva-voce which carries 50 marks and is scheduled for August/September 2025, where candidates must score at least 40%.

Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Salary

The National Judicial Pay Commission has set the salary as per the 7th pay commission. The starting salary through this recruitment, for civil judges will be Rs. 77840 per month, and the salary can go up to Rs. 136520 per month. Along with that, Additional perks and benefits are also included due to this Salary will rise as per the government rules.
