The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the CSIR NET Notification 2025 PDF for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June Examination 2025 on 3rd June 2025. The CSIR NET exam is a national-level exam held to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges. CSIR UGC NET 2025 Important Dates
Along with the release of the CSIR NET Notification 2025 PDF, the CSIR UGC NET 2025 form fill-up process has been started on 3rd June 2025 at the official website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/. As per the notification, the apply online link for CSIR NET 2025 will remain active till 23rd June 2025 (11:59 pm). Candidates should be aware of the important dates to avoid missing any deadlines.

CSIR NET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the CSIR NET June 2025 exam must meet the required eligibility criteria as mentioned in the CSIR UGC NET Notification 2025. The candidate’s eligibility will be determined based on citizenship, educational qualification, and the age limit of the candidate.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks (for General and OBC) or 50% marks (for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university/ Institution.
- For candidates enrolled in an integrated MS-PhD program or having a B.Sc.(Hons.) degree, at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) are required.
- Candidates who have only a Bachelor’s degree are eligible for JRF only and not for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.
- Candidates who have passed a Master’s degree with at least 50% marks before September 19, 1991, are only eligible to apply for Lectureship.
Age Limit (as on 1/07/2025)
- The upper Age Limit for JRF is 30 years
- Age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Third Gender/Persons with Disability (PWD) and Women applicants. 3 years will be relaxed for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Applicants)
- There is no upper age limit for Lectureship and Assistant Professor
- There is no upper age limit for applying for the Joint CSIR-UGC-NET for Admission to PhD
CSIR NET Application Form 2025
The CSIR NET Application Form 2025 process has been started at the official website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/ from 3rd June 2025 onwards, post the release of the CSIR NET 2025 Notification. Candidates need to submit their application forms online through the NTA official website, within the specified deadline only which is till 23rd June 2025 (11:59 pm). CSIR NET 2025 Application Fee
Candidates from the general category need to pay a Rs. 1150/- application fee when submitting their CSIR NET 2025 Application Form online at https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/. Candidates from the PwD category are exempt from paying the application fee. The fee will be paid online using BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.

- SC/ST/Third Gender – Rs. 325/-
