CDS Exam is a national-level exam conducted twice a year by UPSC to select candidates for the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers’ Training Academy. Today, 14th September 2025, the first paper (English) of the CDS 2 Exam has been successfully conducted. Now, the remaining two papers, General Knowledge and Mathematics, will be held in the next shifts. We will provide the Shift 1 CDS Question Paper 2025 here once it is collected from the students.
CDS 2 Question Paper 2025
The CDS 2 Exam 2025Â written exam is conducted in offline mode. The UPSC CDS 2 2025 exam starts with the English paper from 9 am to 11 am, General Knowledge from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and Elementary Mathematics from 4 pm to 6 pm. Candidates who appeared in the exam or are preparing for the next CDS exams will be able to download the CDS Question Paper 2025 for the 1st shift to understand the types of questions and the exam difficulty level of the English language test.
CDS Question Paper 2025
The CDS 2 Question Paper includes the questions from three subjects: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. After the exam, candidates are allowed to take the question paper with them, which helps them check their answers and estimate their scores before the official results are declared. Future aspirants can also download these question papers to practice and understand the examination better.
CDS 2 English Question Paper 2025
The English paper was successfully conducted in the first shift from 9 am to 11 am. The paper included a total of 120 questions covering various English topics such as sentence arrangement, error spotting, idioms and phrases, reading comprehension, and more. The exam was conducted for a total of 100 marks. CDS 2 General Knowledge Question Paper 2025
The second paper, General Knowledge, will be conducted from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. After the completion of the examination, we will share the CDS 2 2025 Question Paper PDF for GK to know how many questions were asked from different subjects such as History, Geography, Polity, Economics, Science, and other important topics.
CDS 2 Mathematics Question Paper 2025
The third and the last paper is Maths, which will start from 4 pm to 6 pm. The CDS Maths question paper includes questions from topics such as Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and more. This paper is designed to test the candidate’s problem-solving skills. Just after the exam, candidates will get the paper from here.
CDS 2 Exam Pattern 2025
For IMA, INA, AFA
- Candidates have to clear the 3 subjects: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics
- All questions are objective type (MCQs)
- Time duration: 2 hours for each subject
- Maximum marks: 100 marks per subject
For Officers’ Training Academy (OTA)
- OTA exam has 2 subjects: English and General Knowledge
- All questions are objective type (MCQs)
- General Knowledge paper is bilingual (Hindi & English)
- The duration of the exam is 2 hours
- 100 marks are allotted per subject
