Bihar SHS Ayush MO Recruitment 2025 Notification Out for 2619 Vacancies

The Bihar Swastha Vibhag State Health Society (SHSB) has initiated the recruitment process for 2619 Medical Officers under the National Health Mission (NHM). A total of 2619 vacancies have been notified for candidates who completed their qualifications in Ayurvedic, Homeopathic or Unani Medicine. Eligible and Interested candidates will be able apply for the Bihar SHS Ayush MO Recruitment 2025 from 26th May 2025 onwards from the official website, www.shs.bihar.gov.in

Bihar SHS Ayush Medical Officer Recruitment 2025

Candidates whose age is between 21st to 37 years and have completed a bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic, homeopathic medicine and surgery, and unnani medicine are eligible to apply for the Ayush Medical doctors. Candidates will be selected through a computer-based test and other details of the recruitment is shared below in the table.

Bihar SHS Ayush MO Recruitment 2025 Important Dates

The online application process for the SHSB Ayush MO recruitment 2025 will start on 26th May 2025, and candidates must apply for the recruitment before 15th June 2025. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to submit their application between these dates. The examination schedule will be announced on the official website

Bihar Swastha Vibhag State Health Society (SHSB) has announced 2619 vacancies for Ayurvedic, Unani, and Homoeopathic doctors. Out of which 1049 are allotted for General category candidates and the other vacancy distribution has been mentioned below in the table

Bihar Ayush Doctors Eligibility 2025

The eligibility criteria for the Bihar Ayush MO Recruitment 2025 are mentioned in the official notification, and the same has been explained below. Candidates must fulfil these criteria, otherwise, they will be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process.

Educational Qualifications

Ayush Doctor (Ayurvedic)

• Must have a BAMS degree from a recognized university.
• Completed Rotatory internship.
• Registered with Bihar Ayurvedic & Unani Medicine Council, Patna.

Ayush Doctor (Homeopathic)

• Must have a BHMS degree from a recognized university.
• Completed internship.
• Registered with Bihar Homeopathic Medicine Council, Patna.

Ayush Doctor (Unani)

• Must have a BUMS degree from a recognized university.
• Completed internship.
• Registered with Bihar Ayurvedic & Unani Medicine Council, Patna.

Age Criteria (As on 1/8/2024)

The category-wise age criteria are mentioned below.

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age (Male UR/EWS): 37 years
• Maximum Age (Female UR/EWS): 40 years
• Maximum Age (Male/Female BC/MBC): 40 years
• Maximum Age (Male/Female SC/ST): 42 years

Bihar MO Selection Process 2025

The selection process for Bihar SHS Medical Officer consists of two stages:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT): The exam will be of 100 marks and questions are based on the medical subject of Ayurveda, Unani or Homeopathy.
• Document Verification: Based on the marks obtained in the CBT, a category-wise merit list will be prepared, and shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. In this stage all the original documents will be checked and verified.
