Bihar Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2025
The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) will conduct the Bihar Police Constable exam for 19,838 vacancies. The application process for Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2025 will be started on 18th March 2025. Candidates who are interested must check the eligibility criteria, which includes age limit, nationality, educational qualifications, etc.
Nationality
To appear for the Bihar Constable Examination 2025, candidates must meet the nationality requirements as mentioned in the official notification. Generally, candidates who are Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the exam
Bihar Police Constable Age Limit 2025 (as of 01/08/2025)
The age of the candidates has been calculated based on the date of birth mentioned in the 10th class certificate. Let’s have a look age criteria for all categories-
- General Category- The minimum age limit to apply for constables is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.
- OBC and EBC Male Candidates- The maximum age limit for OBC and EBC candidates for the examination has been relaxed by 2 years for. The minimum age requirement remains 18 years, while the maximum age limit has been extended to 27 years.
- OBC and EBC Female Candidates- The upper age limit for OBC and EBC candidates has been relaxed by 3 years for. The minimum age limit is 18 years, while the maximum age limit has been set to 28 years.
- SC, ST Male and Female Candidates, and Transgender-Maximum age limit relaxed by 5 years, i.e., minimum age 18 years and maximum age 30 years.
- Home Guards- A 5-year relaxation is given in the prescribed maximum age limit.

Bihar Police Constable Educational Qualification 2025
Those candidates who are going to apply for the Constables must read the educational requirement set by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC)
- Candidates must complete the Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized board.
- A Maulvi certificate issued by the Bihar State Government’s Madrasa Board.
- A Shastri certificate (including English) or an Acharya certificate (excluding English) issued by the Bihar State Sanskrit Board.
- Any other equivalent educational qualification recognized by the state government.
Bihar Police Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates will undergo a Physical Standard Test, which includes measurements for height, chest, and weight. The PST is a qualifying in nature. Candidates must pass these standards to be called for the next stage. If candidates do not meet these requirements, they will not be considered for the next stage.

Bihar Police Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
For male candidates of all categories, the physical test includes running 1.6 km, which must be completed within 6 minutes, and a minimum jump height of 4 feet. For female candidates, the run is 1 km, to be completed within 5 minutes, and the minimum jump height is 3 feet. Candidates have to clear the efficiency test to be eligible for the constables in Bihar Police.

Bihar Police Medical Examination
All selected candidates will undergo a medical examination conducted by the appointing authority. The exam will test eyesight, color blindness, hearing, and stammering. Candidates must pass the medical examination to be appointed. Those who fail will not be appointed.
