The National Testing Agency (NTA) 2025 released the UGC NET Result 2025 on 22nd February 2025 along with its scorecard and cut off marks for the University Grants Commission (UGC) NET December session exam. The result and scorecard link along with subject-wise cut off marks are now available at the official website, https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. The scorecard comprises category-wise marks for the December exam. Candidates can check their result and marks by login to the official link using Application Number and Date of Birth

UGC NET Result 2025 Out

The UGC NET Examination was successfully conducted by UGC NET for 85 subjects on 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 16th, 21st, and 26th January 2025 in CBT mode at 558 exam centres in 266 cities. A total of 849166 candidates registered (371718 for male, 477397 for female, and 51 for Third gender) for UGC NET 2024 December session. Out of which 6,49,490 candidates have participated in the exam. Thus, an overall 76.5% attendance was registered for the exam. Check UGC NET exam statistics from the table below.

UGC NET Score Card 2025

A total of 849166 candidates registered for UGC NET December 2024, out of which a total of 649490 candidates appeared for the exam. As per UGC NET Result 2025, a total of 5158 candidates qualified for both the JRF and Assistant Professor positions. A total of 48161 candidates became eligible for Assistant Professor roles and Ph.D. admissions, while 114445 candidates qualified solely for Ph.D. admission.

UGC NET Qualifying Marks

UGC NET Certificate 2025

All those candidates who have scored more than the category-wise qualifying marks in the UGC NET December exam are considered to pass this exam. These candidates will now be issued with the UGC NET Certificate 2025, which serves as proof to determine the candidate’s eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship posts for universities and colleges in India. This certificate has a lifetime validity for those who appeared for the Assistant Professor exam and for the Junior Research Fellowship; the validity is for 4 years from the issuing date.
