MH SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the 40th Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) must be aware that they fulfill the required eligibility parameters for the MH SET exam. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed the post-graduation to be eligible to apply online for the MH SET Exam. A candidate who has already qualified for SET in a subject will not be allowed to appear again for SET in the same subject.
- The candidates must have completed their Master’s Degree/ Post Graduation form recognized by U.G.C., in a subject of SET.
- Candidates from the general category must have secured at least 55% marks (without gracing or rounding off )in the Master’s or equivalent examination.
- Candidates from OBC/ SBC/DT(VJ)/NT [belonging to non-creamy layer and SC/ST//Trans genders/PwD/Orphans must be required to secure at least 50% marks (without gracing or rounding off) in Masters or equivalent Examination.
- Candidates can appear for the MH SET Exam in the subject of their Post Graduation only e.g. Commerce: M.Com., Environmental Science, M.Sc. Env. Sci., Life Science, M.Sc. Life Science/Botany/Zoology/Microbiology/ Biotechnology etc., Home Science: M.Sc., M.A. Home Science.

MH SET Exam Pattern 2025
To begin preparation for the MH SET Exam 2025 candidates should be aware of the MH SET Exam Pattern to know about the mode of exam, types of questions, topics to be asked, marking scheme, and other details.
- The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) will consist of two papers. Both papers will consist of only objective-type questions.
- Paper 1 will consist of a test of reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate. In Paper 1 each question will carry 02 marks.
- Paper 2 shall consist of one hundred (100) objective-type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry two marks.
- There is no negative marking in the MH SET exam.

MH SET 2025: Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates are required to score minimum qualifying marks to qualify for the MH SET exam. Candidates from the general category have to score a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together and candidates from other categories have to score a minimum of 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together.
