CTET Notification 2025-26, Short Notice Out (PDF Anytime Soon)

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam date notice for 24th October 2025, and it is expected that the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 will be released on 25th October 2025. Candidates who want to become a teacher for the primary and upper primary level must qualify for this eligibility test to be eligible to apply for various teaching recruitments across the country.

The detailed CTET 2026 February Notification pdf will be uploaded on its official website www.ctet.nic.in on 24th October 2025. The candidates willing to appear for the CTET 2026 Exam must know all the important details such as registration dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, etc.

No CTET Exam in 2025; as the officials have released the exam date notice for CTET February 2026 mentioning that the exam will be held on 8th February 2026. The notification and application form is expected to be released shortly.

What is CTET 2025-26?

CTET or Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a national-level examination conducted by CBSE to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in central government schools across India, including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas. The exam will be held in offline mode, meaning it is a pen-and-paper test. CTET Exam has two papers:

Paper 1: For candidates who want to teach classes 1 to 5.

Paper 2: For candidates who want to teach classes 6 to 8.

Important Dates for CTET 2025-2026

The application process will begin with the release of CTET February 2026 Notification on 25th October 2025. The last date to apply online will be notified with notification.

CTET February 2025-26 Eligibility

CTET consists of two papers: Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (6 to 8). The eligibility criteria for both papers are discussed below.

CTET Paper I: For those looking forward to teaching classes I-V. Applicants should have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a similar qualification, either completed or in the final year.

CTET Paper II: For classes VI-VIII. Graduation with relevant degrees like B.Ed., B.A.Ed, or similar, is required for eligibility.

Both papers can be attempted by eligible candidates who fulfil the requirements for each level.

CTET 2025-26 Application Fee

Only the applications submitted with the application fee will be accepted, and the fee for single and double papers is different. If the candidate has to apply for the CTET February 2026 Paper 1 or Paper 2, then they have to pay Rs. 1000/- [General/OBC(NCL)] and Rs. 500/- [SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person.
