After the completion of application forms, Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has shared the data of how many candidates have submitted their applications for 4543 vacancies of Sub Inspector posts. As per the officials, this year, 1575760 candidates have registered themself for the recruitment drive, for which the registration process was conducted online.
1575760 Candidates Applied for 4543 UP SI Vacancies
According to official data, nearly 15.8 lakh aspirants submitted their forms for the UP SI recruitment 2025. The ratio of candidates to vacancies stands at approximately 347:1, meaning nearly 347 candidates will compete for each available post. The candidates who have submitted their applications must begin with their preparation with the updated UP SI Syllabus to secure good marks.
With such a large number of candidates, candidates are advised to focus on their preparation and strategic time management. Practising mock tests, staying updated on current events, and maintaining physical fitness are important.
UP Police SI Selection Process
The recruitment procedure will include several stages designed to assess both the physical and intellectual capabilities of applicants. The selection will be done through Written Exam, Document Verification (DV), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Examination and Character Verification.
Online Written Examination- Candidates must clear a computer-based test covering subjects such as General Knowledge, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Current Affairs.
Document Verification & Physical Standards Test (PST)- Shortlisted candidates will have to meet height, chest, and weight standards.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- Tests like running and other endurance activities will gauge candidates’ fitness.
Medical Examination- A final medical check will ensure only fit candidates are appointed.
