Laboratory Technician
- Passed 12th (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as subjects.
Senior Lab Technician
Option 1:
- M.Sc in Medical Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, General Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry (with or without DMLT).
- Minimum 2 years work experience in TB lab tests.
- Experience with Mycobacterium tuberculosis tests like:
- Genotypic tests: Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests, Line Probe Assay.
- Phenotypic tests: Culture and Drug Susceptibility Tests.
OR Option 2:
- B.Sc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Science, Botany, or Zoology with DMLT.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in TB lab tests.
- Experience with Mycobacterium tuberculosis tests like:
- Genotypic tests: Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests, Line Probe Assay.
- Phenotypic tests: Culture and Drug Susceptibility Tests.

The selection process for Senior Laboratory Technician and Laboratory Technician under SHS Laboratory Technician Recruitment 2025:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): Candidates will be selected category-wise based on marks obtained in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and work experience
- Document Verification and Merit List: In this stage, candidates have to present their documents, and the merit list will be prepared according to the marks
SHS Bihar Laboratory Technician Exam Pattern 2025
As per the Bihar SHS Lab Technician Notification, the exam pattern for Laboratory Technician is as follows:
- The CBT exam marks (out of 75) will be multiplied by 0.8 to calculate the weighted score.
- 0.25 marks will be subtracted for each wrong answer.
- The duration of the exam is 75 minutes
- Candidates with work experience as fully contractual lab technicians during COVID-19 prevention and control will get extra marks.
- 5 marks will be given for each year of experience, a maximum of 20 marks will be awarded
- Total marks = 80 (CBT) + 20 (Experience) = 100 marks.

Bihar Lab Technician Salary 2025
