Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has released a notice regarding the cancellation of the OSSSC CRE 2025 Mains exam on 30th July 2025 at https://www.osssc.gov.in. The main exam was earlier scheduled from 1st August to 4th September 2025. This comes following serious allegations of irregularities and legal challenges against the examination process.
Odisha RI ARI Amin Mains Exam 2025 Cancelled
The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has cancelled OSSSC RI, ARI, and AMIN exams under the CRE recruitment process after facing serious allegations against the recruitment process. The decision was communicated to the Odisha High Court by Advocate General Pitambar Acharya, stating that the entire recruitment cycle will be cancelled.
Through the Combined Recruitment Examination 2023 (IV), a total of 2895 vacancies for Assistant Revenue Inspectors (ARI), AMIN, Revenue Inspectors (RI), ICDS Supervisors, and Statistical Field Surveyors positions. As per the notification, only five times the number of vacancies were supposed to qualify for the main examination. But the Commission allowed all candidates who appeared in the prelims to take the mains. This mistake led to a legal case, and finally, the entire exam was cancelled.
Odisha RI ARI Amin Exam Cancellation Notice
As per the official notice released by Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) on 30th July 2025. The High Court, under Justice Biraja Prasanna Satapathy, has instructed the OSSSC to reinitiate the recruitment process, strictly limiting the opportunity to those who had already applied. A new notification for re-exam will be issued within 14 days, likely by August 15. The official notice is attached below.
What After this?
The Odisha High Court, under Justice Biraja Prasanna Satapathy, has directed OSSSC to restart the recruitment process. Only candidates who had already applied will be eligible for the revised process. No fresh applications will be accepted, and candidates will not be required to pay any additional fees. A fresh notification for the preliminary exam is expected by 15th August 2025.
