Bihar LDC Selection Process 2025

The Selection Process for the BPSC LDC Recruitment consists of two stages: Prelims and Mains, but there is a criteria set by the Bihar Public Service Commission as follows:

• If less than 40000 applications are received, the Preliminary Exam will not be held.
• If more than 40000 applications are received, the exam will be conducted in two stages:

1. Preliminary Exam
2. Main Exam

BPSC LDC Exam Pattern 2025

If a large number of applications are received, the Preliminary Exam will be conducted in multiple phases. The Preliminary Exam will be an open-book exam. Candidates can bring only one book for each subject, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and General Science (maximum 3 books). Only textbooks from NCERT, BSEB, ICSE, or other recognized boards are allowed.

• The Preliminary Exam will have one paper on General Knowledge, which includes three subjects: General Knowledge, Mathematics, and General Science
• Each correct answer gives 4 marks.
• For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be subtracted.
• The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 15 minutes.

• Based on the Preliminary Exam, around 5 times the total number of vacancies will be called for the Main Exam.
• Candidates who qualify the main written exam (based on category-wise cut-off) will be called for the Typing and Computer Test.
• The Typing Test will be held in MS Word.
• Delete and Backspace keys will be disabled
• Hindi Typing will be done using:

1. Keyboard layout: Remington Gail
2. Font: Mangal

• Candidates must type 300 words in 10 minutes at a speed of 30 words per minute.
• To qualify, errors must be 1.5% or less. More than that means disqualification.
