RRB ALP Psycho Test 2025- Guidelines
- Eligibility: Only those candidates who have qualified in the CBT 2 Exam are eligible to appear for the Psycho Test/Aptitude Test.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 42 marks in each test to qualify. This cut-off will be the same across all categories (UR, OBC, SC, ST) with no relaxation.
- Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in the Psycho Test, allowing candidates to attempt all questions without any penalty for incorrect answers.
- Mode of Examination: The test will be conducted in a computer-based format at various exam centers, and questions are provided in English and Hindi for the convenience of candidates.
- Exam Date: The RRB ALP CBAT 2025 is scheduled for 15th July 2025, as per the official notice released by the RRB.
- Admit Card and Instructions: The admit card will be released 4 days before the exam, i.e., on 11th July 2025, at the RRB official website. Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card and a valid ID to their test centers. Electronic gadgets, books, and notes are restricted in the exam hall. Candidates must follow the instructions, and any misconduct may lead to disqualification.

Format of RRB ALP Psycho Test
The RRB ALP Psycho Test will be based on OMR (Optical Mark Recognition). Answers are marked completely on the answer sheet. Darken the circles that accompany your answers. Use a blue ballpoint pen, and remember that you are not allowed to change your circled answer. RRB ALP Psycho Test is usually conducted in groups of 35 to 150 candidates. Each test has a specific time limit, about which candidates will be informed at the beginning of the session.
Types of Tests in RRB ALP Psycho Test
The RRB ALP CBAT exam will consist of 5 tests, including Memory Tests, Following Direction Tests, Depth Perception Test, Concentration Test, and Perceptual Speed Test.
- Memory Test- A memory test is conducted to evaluate a person’s memory, especially in cases where dementia, depression, or other conditions are suspected.
- Following Direction Test- This test assesses how well a candidate can understand and follow instructions, which is important to maintain safety and efficiency during the operation of trains.

RRB ALP Psycho Test Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The RRB ALP Psycho Test is held to assess candidates’ memory, concentration, depth perception, and decision-making. It is mandatory to clear each test battery/section of CBAT separately, and candidates have to score a total of 42 marks to qualify for the Psycho test. The CBAT shall be only in English and Hindi, and there shall be no negative marking. The final merit list of candidates will be prepared only from amongst candidates qualifying in the CBAT. The total 70% weightage will be given for marks obtained in Part-A of CBT-2 and 30% weightage for the score obtained in the СВАТ.
