Assam Forest Ranger Recruitment 2025 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria as mentioned in APSC Forest Ranger Notification 2025 is detailed below in terms of eligibility and age limit.

Education Qualification- Candidates holding the Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering from a recognised University with at least in one subject from Agriculture/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Computer Applications/ Computer Science/ Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)/ Environmental Science/ Forestry/ Geology/ Horticulture/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Veterinary Science/ Zoology.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025)- Candidates must fall in the age group of 21 to 38 years of age.

The upper age limit relaxation is as follows-

(i) By 5 years for SC/ST(PHST(H) candidates of Assam i.e. upto 43 years.
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates of Assam i.e. upto 41 years.

APSC Forest Ranger Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for Forest Ranger in Assam will be done through three stages and candidates have to qualify in each stage to get selected for the released vacancies.

Stage 1- Written Examination

Stage 2- Walking Test

Stage 3- Interview

APSC Forest Ranger Exam Pattern 2025

1. There will be 4 papers for total 600 marks.
2. The exam of English subject will be of Conventional essay type. Other three papers will be of OMR based.
