Every year, lakhs of banking aspirants appear in the SBI Clerk prelims and mains exam to get shortlisted for Junior Associate vacancies released in that particular year. For the year 2025-26, SBI has announced 14191 vacancies for which the last date for online registration is 7th January 2025. The tentative exam month is also announced with the official notification which depicts that SBI Clerk Prelims Exam will be conducted in the month of February 2025 and the SBI Clerk Mains in March/April 2025. SBI Clerk Exam Date 2025
Unlike every year, this year also lakhs of applicants have submitted their application for the SBI Clerk Exam and after the online applications they wait for SBI Clerk Exam Date 2025 which will be announced separately for prelims and mains exam. The candidates who apply for the exam will first have to appear for the prelims exam which is tentatively scheduled for February 2025. After qualifying in the prelims exam, candidates will have to appear for Mains exam which will be conducted in March or April 2025. SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Date 2025
The first stage of the selection process for SBI Clerk Recruitment is the Prelims exam which is conducted for lakhs of candidates who have applied for the said vacancies this year. As per the schedule, the prelims exam can be held in February 2025 and the admit cards will be released 7 to 10 days before the exam date. The prelims exam can be conducted in more than 2 days and each day, the exam will be conducted in 4 shifts (depending on the number of candidates applied). This stage will be qualifying in nature as prelims is conducted only to shortlist the candidates for mains exam and the marks scored will not be counted in final merit list.
The prelims exam will consist of 100 questions divided across Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language sections. Each correct answer will earn 1 mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response. The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes (1 hour), with each section allocated a time limit of 20 minutes.
SBI Clerk Mains Exam Date 2025
For the candidates who made it to qualify for the prelims exam, the SBI Clerk Mains exam will be organised tentatively in March- April 2025. The exam will be conducted either on a single day or two days (depending on the number of candidates qualified in prelims) and each day there will be only 2 shifts. This stage will be the final stage of selection process however, after that local regional language test will be conducted which will be qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared basis of marks scored in Mains exam.
In SBI Clerk Mains, the questions will be of objective type and except for the test of General English, all sections will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. There will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark for wrong answers in the Objective tests. The duration of the exam is 2 hours 40 minutes and there will also be sectional timing for each section.
